Day 1Akwaba ! Welcome to Abidjan. You will be met at the airport Felix Houphouet Boigny (ABJ) and transferred to your beautiful residence. This residence is tranquil and allows you to enjoy the mesmerizing scenery of Africa. Receive your welcome drink and an introduction to Abidjan. Experience your 1st Ivoirien dinner, a combo of sweet and savory homemade mouthwatering cuisine. Afterwards, if you're not too tired, and it's not too late, we will go out. Abidjan nightlife is the epitome of an unforgettable blast. Relax and Good night. We have a long day full of excitement planned tomorrow!
Day 2Rise and shine exuLers! Today marks the first day of our Ivorian journey! Breakfast and "en route pour ADJAME" the largest open market in West Africa. Mingle with the locals, buy some fabrics, and have one of the local tailors custom make an authentic Ivoirien outfit for you. From dresses, to pants, to bags, you can have it all! Design cute accessories for yourself or nice clothing for a loved one back home. This market is your oyster. Enjoy lunch and then the discovery of Abidjan : Cathedrale St Paul (the principal church) -Bateau mouches ( boat rides) -Mosquee du Plateaux (mosque) -Quick stop at the super market for any last minute essentials. Alternate options: Spend the rest of the day in GRAND BASSAM. The name says it all, it is quite literally a Grand and enhanced version of your average beach experience. Relax beach side while therapeutically listening to the waves. Or enjoy a meal and take a quick dip in the pool. Afterwards we return home for dinner, relax, and goodnight.
Day 3Fuel up on breakfast then en route for YAMOUSSOUKRO. Visit of the largest Basilica in the world, OUR LADY OF PEACE. This sight is so mesmerizing you will never want to leave. ? Discover the village of Bomizambo and the Goli Dance. A West African traditional sacred dance. The precise movement to every beat of the melodious music will leave you blown away. See the local artists in action and get dressed for your African naming ceremony. This ceremony will have you engaged and make you feel apart of the culture. ? ? ?After a satisfying lunch, visit of the second capital of Cote d'Ivoire and back to Abidjan. Dinner and Party time Let's go dance with those handsome Ivoiriens and gorgeous Ivoiriennes.
Day 4Brunch then we visit N'Zikro. A little village in a family owned plantation. Agriculture is the main source of revenue in Cote d'Ivoire, which # 1 producer of Cocoa in the world, former 3 in coffee and top 5 in rubber. We will visit the plantation as well as the village's school. The kids are very bright intelligent students who lack the resources we have here in America. The students are in great need of school supplies (pen, pencils, paper...) and basic necessities (shoes, clothes, toothbrushes ...). If you have any leftover or gently used supplies, please bring a few that you will be able to hand directly to the children. Nothing is too small and you might change a child's life forever. ? Everyone enjoys fun times at the beach so from there, we'll go to Assinie Beach, where we will spend the rest of the day. Back to Abidjan, dinner, and if you still have the stamina, we'll go out for round two of dancing.
Day 5Breakfast, pick up your outfit at the tailor, and let's go to Ghana PS: We will have a professional photographer following us for most part of the tour. We want to be able to catch all these great memories. To go to Ghana, we have 2 choices: 1/ Fly 2/ Drive You will let me know what your preference is.
